Saturday arrived sunny and clear and with a very slight breeze was a very nice temperature. As the new 9 holes had been mixed up between the original 2 9s it was hard to tell the new holes as we hadn't played it enough. But the course was in good condition and greens were running very true. The downside to Royal Long An is the time to get there, the upside is we didn't see anyone else out on the course so a quick round for a Saturday afternoon.
We welcomed 2 new members, James Walker and Mike Harvey who both played well. James came in with 32 points for 4th but in 3rd with 34 was Mark Komene, Mike came 2nd with 36 off a handicap of 10, so good scoring, but well out in front with 38 points playing off 13 was Jared Chambers, Well played!
I would like to thank Philip Van Der Walt who donated a bottle of Ernie Els Major Classic red wine to the winner, which found its way onto the table at Brix for all to sample, went down well!
Next month, the last of the year and just before Christmas, 20 December, an excellent excuse to avoid Christmas shopping, we are playing Dong Nai and their recently re-opened A course after it's refurbishment. We are playing A & B and the cost is 2,650,000 vnd and we are teeing off at 11.43. The coach will leave Phattys at 9.15am. Please let me know as soon as possible if you are playing and if you will be coming on the coach.
